Catalog description

Explore the engaging world of video game music, sound & audio in this multimodal course. Students will participate in listening sessions dedicated to providing an overview of notable works, develop an understanding of the history of consoles and technologies related to gaming and learn how to create their own compositions using industry standard music technology & audio production tools. As the course progresses, students will gain valuable perspective on ludomusicology, and explore the relationships that exist among a wide variety of disciplines and the interplay between technology, sound, and gameplay.
