Catalog description
This course covers the important challenges faced in emergency management and homeland security with regards to increasing resilience in America. Students will learn about disparities in service, disproportionate impacts, and vulnerability challenges often faced during disasters. Students will discuss diversity and inclusion initiatives in the workforce. Students will consider the root causes and historical precedence that has led to justice and equality issues for individuals and communities.
