Catalog description

Introduction to the diversity, the morphology, physiology, structure, genetics, and metabolism of microorganisms, including the roles played by microorganisms in medical, epidemiological, environmental, agricultural, and biotechnological sciences. Explores current concepts in microbial systems and host-microbe interaction. This course may be of interest for students planning to apply to physician assistant, pharmacy, and nursing programs and is often a suggested prerequisite for many medical, veterinary, and dental programs. Prerequisite(s): A BIO 212Y.
