Catalog description

This course is a follow-up to A ATM 362 and describes the roles of operational meteorologists in the National Weather Service (NWS), led by NWS staff members. Content includes upper-air observations, operational models, fire weather, coastal meteorology, ice jams, flash flooding, and more. Several classes will include hands-on labs at the National Weather Service Forecast Office. Prerequisite(s): A ATM 362 or permission of instructor. S/U graded. Offered spring semester only.
