Catalog description

This course introduces students to the different cultures of the Arabic speaking world. Special focus is on the Arabic language and its use in contemporary literary and cultural expressions in the Middle East and North Africa. Students will gain skills to analyze and understand a new culture through a variety of cultural and literary materials. Taught in English.
