Catalog description

Prerequisite: SOCIO 100 or permission of instructor. The course provides a sociological perspective on crisis and trauma, as well as a thorough introduction to state-of-the-art techniques for assessing and responding to crisis situations. In addition to skills on individual-level interventions, you will be introduced to sociological insights on trauma and crisis occurring on a community/societal level.
