Catalog description

Prerequisite: Full admission to the graduate SLP, graduate distance SLP, or graduate AUD program or permission of the school director. Comprehensive early intervention programs have created new opportunities for infants and toddlers with hearing loss to learn to listen and talk. In this course, students will learn the developmental processes underpinning audition and spoken language acquisition, and clinical techniques, strategies, and teaching approaches, including teletherapy, that speech and hearing professionals use to deliver services to young children who are deaf or hard of hearing in helping them to develop listening and spoken language.
