Prerequisites: Admission to a graduate program in Psychology and permission. This course is designed to be an introductory graduate survey of cognitive and affective processes. After completing this course, students should be familiar with the conceptual underpinnings of cognitive psychology—including basic concepts in sensation, perception, attention, working memory, episodic memory, semantic memory, procedural memory, everyday memory, problem-solving, decision-making, and affective and emotional processing (arousal, regulation, decision making).
