This course examines cases decided by the US Supreme Court that had significant impacts on citizens throughout history. Cases cover topics such as free speech, gun control, abortion and capital punishment. Students will gain an understanding of the role of the Supreme Court in policy making, and recognize the importance of judicial philosophy on decisions.
