Prerequisite: PLYE 641 or equivalent. This is a graduate course on the coating technology of polymers. Topics covered include the polymeric binders in radiation-curable coatings, coatings for electronic packaging, waterborne coatings, the chemistry of dyes, the coatings science of pigments, and the chemistry of polymer degradation.
