Catalog description

Prerequisites: PSYC 230 , BIOL 130 , and NURS 104 . The student will continue to build on previously acquired knowledge of selected core organizing concepts within the QSEN and clinical judgment frameworks, nursing skills and development of nursing judgement in the care of the adult with chronic health problems commonly found including ENT, cardiac, respiratory, gastrointestinal, renal, genital/urinary, hematological, endocrine, immunological, and musculoskeletal. Principles of older adult nursing will be included with each system. A concept-based curriculum with selected nursing concepts will be followed. Nursing care of the adult with chronic health conditions who are in a variety of settings will be included in the course.
