Catalog description
Prerequisites: NURS 101 , NURS 102 , NURS 103 , and [( BIOL 202 and BIOL 203 ) or ( ANAT 207 and ANAT 211 )]. This course focuses on the care of adults in acute care settings, continuing to build on the selected core concepts within the Quality and Safety Education for Nurses (QSEN) and clinical judgment frameworks. The focus is on the acute physiological health problems commonly found in the adult population including ENT, cardiac, respiratory, gastrointestinal, renal, genital/urinary, hematological, endocrine, immunological, and musculoskeletal. A concept-based curriculum with selected nursing concepts will be followed.
