Catalog description

Prerequisite: Placement audition in the School of Performing Arts. Individual instruction in vocal or instrumental performance. Two credits represent one half-hour lesson per week; four credits represent an hour lesson. Enrollment may be repeated each semester for credit. A fee is charged in addition to regular tuition. The following courses are intended for a student majoring in one of the programs in the School of Performing Arts. Course levels correspond approximately to class standing (100 for freshman, 200 for sophomore, etc.) A student may progress up one level by successfully completing an applied music jury, usually offered in the spring semester. NOTE: No more than eight credits at the 100, 200 or 300 level may apply in music degree programs; no such limit exists for the 400 level. (Formerly 7520:231)
