Prerequisites: [ STAT 261 and STAT 262 ] or STAT 461 . This course introduces students to sport analytics with an emphasis on hands-on data analysis in R. Students will learn fundamental programming and statistical skills, apply them to real sport datasets, and explore how analytics informs player evaluation, team management, and business decisions. No prior coding experience is required.
