Catalog description

Prerequisites: Admission to an exercise science major and [( BIOL 200 , BIOL 201 , BIOL 202 , and BIOL 203 ) or ( ANAT 206 , ANAT 207 , ANAT 210 , and ANAT 211 )]. This course examines physiological responses and adaptations to acute exercise with emphasis on bioenergetics, anaerobic and aerobic metabolism, body composition, and cardiorespiratory function. Laboratory experiences develop practical skills in exercise testing, metabolic assessment, and physiological monitoring. Three hours lecture, integrated lab coursework.
