Prerequisite: Admission to a graduate program in the School of Education. This course explores the theoretical foundations and practical instructional applications of social studies education, with emphasis on the ways history, civics, geography, and economics shape democratic participation in a diverse and interconnected world. Students will engage with key learning theories, curriculum frameworks, and methods that have influenced the field from its origins to the present.
