This course provides an interdisciplinary introduction to Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its growing role in education across K–12 and higher education. It explores how AI influences teaching, learning, assessment, accessibility, student support, and decision-making within the broader educational ecosystem. Students will examine core AI concepts, including machine learning, natural language processing, and generative AI, along with their capabilities and limitations. Through hands-on activities, case studies, and instructional design tasks, they evaluate AI tools, design AI-enhanced learning experiences, and analyze institutional policies and broader frameworks guiding responsible use. Emphasizing ethical, equitable, and human-centered practices, the course addresses issues such as bias, data privacy, intellectual property, academic integrity, and societal impact. By the end, students will be prepared to integrate AI responsibly into educational practice and articulate its opportunities, challenges, and future implications.
