Prerequisite: Completion of CPSC 210 with a grade of C- or better or permission. Introduce major themes in bioinformatics. Topics include concepts of molecular genetics, biological databases, database searching, sequence alignments, phylogenetic trees, structure prediction, and microarray data analysis.
