Catalog description

Prerequisite: COUN 662 . This course provides foundational treatment-focused training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, emphasizing evidence-based treatment of mental and emotional disorders with diverse client populations and across service delivery modalities. Students will learn to develop and implement collaborative, individualized, and evidence-based treatment plans that address a broad range of psychosocial concerns, including prevention, intervention, and adjunct treatment approaches. Emphasis is placed on applying assessment and case conceptualization skills to support developmentally relevant and culturally sustaining treatment protocols with measurable outcomes that support client change.
