Catalog description

This course prepares students to assess and diagnose mental disorders across diverse client populations, using current diagnostic classification tools. Students will learn the diagnostic process to understand the etiology and nomenclature of mental and emotional disorders, while evaluating clinical presentation through biopsychosocial, developmental, and systemic perspectives. Instruction prepares students to formulate clear diagnostic rationales and to deliver accurate and ethical diagnoses. (Formerly 5600:662)
