ATC Advanced Tower Simulation

Catalog description

Offers an in-depth exploration of air traffic control tower operations, building upon foundational knowledge from previous AVT courses. Covers complex scenarios involving aircraft takeoffs, landings, and ground movements, simulating real-world challenges encountered in busy terminal environments. Emphasis is placed on advanced sequencing, conflict resolution, and coordination among various control positions, including local, ground, and clearance delivery.​ Restricted to Air Traffic Control majors only. Prerequisite: AVT 2043 and AVT 2045 with grades of "C" or better. Course is not repeatable for credit.
