Catalog description
Teaches coding concepts using the CPT coding system for insurance claims. The course will introduce the CMS (centers for Medicare/Medicaid services) 1500 form. HCPCS (healthcare common procedure coding system) coding and modifiers concepts discussed as applicable. Prerequisite: MOT 1060 with a grade of "C" or better, may be taken concurrently. Course is not repeatable for credit.
