Catalog description

The independent study course is open to students enrolled in post-baccalaureate or MDS programs who have demonstrated a level of mastery that prepares them for research. In this course a student and a faculty instructor work together to determine the topic, direction, and requirements of the independent study including the project, goals and final project/presentation. Registration is limited by program of study. May be repeated for a maximum of 6 credits total (MDS-685 and/or MDS-690) for the MS degree or graduate certificate. Prerequisite: Approved independent study proposal.
