Catalog description

This broad introductory course explores child development from a multidisciplinary framework. Students examine the development of the child from birth through adulthood. Four primary domains: ego, physical, psychological, and socioemotional. The course continues to focus scientific theory and research on human development from conception through adolescence. This includes specific biological and environmental influences on development, addressing the longstanding debate of whether nature or nurture has the more powerful influence on human development.
